A Birthday Wish from the Past......

I was having a Wonderful day when my son Jason called me.
"Mom I have something to tell you".
I'm thinking ,ok he sounds like he is in a good mood, so i say whats up.
He starts to tell me a story about his bookbag he is cleaning out .
" You remember that black bookbag I carry around all the time, well I decided to clean it out today .
So I get to the very bottom and there is some mail for you I forgot to give you.
Back in 2006 you had everyone send me your mail because you were moving around and I put it in my bookbag to give to you."
I said what is it , anything important.
" Oh ya mom, you are going to want this mail i'm pretty sure.
Guess who sent you a birthday card "?
You mean to tell me I have a birthday card from 2 1/2 years ago,
why didn't you give it to me?
"Well I intended to every time I came down, but I guess I kept forgetting".
He made me guess a couple of people and then he said "Aunt Joyce" .
My mouth dropped, you can't imagine all the feelings that came over me.
It was the last birthday card I will ever recieve from my Big Sister.
That year as we all know , she became sick and passed away .
Wow, I will cherish that card and always carry it with me .
Thank you Jason for cleaning out your bookbag,
and Thank you Joyce for the beautiful card and words,
sorry I didn't get to thank you in person.
This birthday will be special to me, all because of a Birthday card that took 2 1/2 years to get to me.
I am a firm believer that " Everything happens for a reason".

PS....Thank you Chip for the card also. I hope you are doing well .
